A Not-so-talkative but Talkative Husband Took Me to a Valentines' Date Twice

Direk, as we often call him, is a very quiet person. We've been married for a year now, and I can say that he is indeed a man of few words. He seldom talks. But when a topic of his interest is being talked about, he should and must say something. Behind his quietness is a deep sense of conversation and humor. When we are on a date, he talks about anything and everything.

Two days before the Hearts' Day, we dined out in Sevilo's Restaurant for a seafood buffet. We came early so we had time to scan the place and chitchat. We had plenty of time to talk about our families and dreams. When the buffet dinner was served, we immediately went to the tables where the food were placed. There were variety of sushi, sashimi, grilled oysters, clams, paella, hammour fillet, various salad (oriental, greek, etc), desserts such as fresh fruits, chocolates, etc; plus fresh fishes for live cooking. And others, some of which I don't know the names. We really enjoyed the food and had our tummy full.

On the day of Hearts' Day, he unexpectedly brought me to Al Wahda Mall. I thought, we were just going to eat shamarwa nearby. But he took me to Olive Garden restaurant. We both agreed to order seafood pasta and pepperoni pizza. The server was really kind enough to share with us their value meals with free salad with bottomless iced tea. While dining, he started our conversation with the movie he watched earlier at home while I was away. And as the conversation went along, we talked about our childhood experiences, how our parents spanked us when we were kids. Funny how we reminisced our childhood years. We went home happy, especially me. Our love banks are full again.

My husband... seldom talks, but when he speaks, he speaks with sense of humor and confidence. And I really enjoy his company. He is so makulit and fun to be with. I'm glad I married him.
