Intercede for Others - A New Prayer Principle

"Dear Lord, I pray that you will supernaturally bring down money for me to pay our insurance policy which is due by end of February 2013."

And that was my moving-mountain prayer.

I'm a prayerful person. Prayer has been my lifestyle. Whenever I go and wherever I am, I always make it a point to say "Thank you" to my God. Under my breath, a small and meaningful thanksgiving comes out of my lips. I pray for strength, protection, guidance and blessings to come my way.

These past few weeks, God has taught me a new prayer principle. Though it's not new to others, I suppose, but applying this principle in my prayer life makes it new and refreshing.

My prayer above did not actually happen. I waited and waited for answer but no reply from above.

During our Friday Worship Service, the third week of each month is scheduled for Testimony and Thanksgiving. One sister stood up and testified about the goodness of God in her finances. She's working in a Skin Care Clinic, and her client amazingly gave her money for no reason at all. She used that blessing to meet ends meet.

And there are other same instances that God is telling  me to pray for others' need before mine. Because once we learn to meet others' need, God will do miraculously for us as well.

Since then, I started to intentionally pray  for my others. I am starting to learn and instill this new principle in my life.

Thank God because He taught me to not only focus in my own needs or requests, but I have to include others in my prayer as well.

Shins :)
