Here is the Part 2 of my topic "How to Bring Your Immediate Family Member to UAE under a Tourist Visa for Job Purposes".
2. Prepare for Necessary Requirements. Both parties need to prepare the necessary papers needed in applying for a tourist visa and at the same time, papers needed for working visa. The following list will give you ideas on what papers to prepare.
1. Tourist Visa. There are many travel agencies across the UAE who are processing tourist visa. I have one in Dubai. You will need to provide copy of your passport and Emirates ID, copy of your family member's passport and photo. One-month costs AED550. Extension for another month is AED850.
2. Affidavit of Support and Guarantee. This form can be downloaded from Philippine Embassy Abu Dhabi. Print the form in legal size (8.5"x13"). You will need to provide the filled up application form, attaching copies of your passport and your family member's passport. This form costs AED100. Submit the form in the Philippine Embassy Abu Dhabi or Dubai. They will give you a stab to claim the authenticated form after one week.
3. OWWA and OEC (Overseas Employment Certificate) from Philippine Embassy. These papers are actually not a "must" requirement, however, there are some immigration officers in the Philippines who ask for these. OWWA is valid for two years; just check the back of your passport if your OWWA is still valid. If yes, then ask for OWWA Certification from the Philippine Embassy. If not, you will pay AED92 for OWWA certificate. Another one is the OEC. You will just need to fill up a form from the embassy and pay AED20 (this includes AED10 for Pag-ibig membership).
4. Employment Certificate or Bank Statement. These papers are actually not a "must" requirement, however, there are some immigration officers in the Philippines who ask for these.
From your family member's end, here is a list of requirements he needs to provide.
1. Attested diploma and transcript of records. He needs to bring the copy of diploma and transcript of record to Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and pay Php100. They will give him a claim tab to collect it from Department of Foreign Affairs. CHED forwards his papers to DFA for further authentication. Usually, it takes 2-3 weeks before he can claim from DFA. Once he gets his papers from DFA, he will then submit the authenticated papers to UAE Embassy in Manila thru DHL. DHL then takes care of your papers and brings back your document once it is attested by UAE Embassy. The fee is Php 1,700 plus DHL freight charges, etc.
2. NSO Birth Certificates of Both Parties. Not a "must" requirement but might be asked by immigration officers, so provide one for each party.
3. Any other documents that can prove that he will back from his vacation; such as Employment ID, Leave Request, etc.
And lastly..
3. Prayer. There is no better way than to lift up to God your desires. As Psalm 37:4 says, "Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart."
GOD BLESS YOUR PLAN!
